A very tragic incident has come to the spotlight on social media recently in which an Al Nassr FC supporter died after watching his team lose in Jeddah.

According to online portal Sabq, Sultan Al Bashri went to watch Al Nassr FC battle it out live in Jeddah against Al Ittihad FC. However, at the match, he started reporting of chest pain following which he was being taken to his home in Asfan.

He supposedly refused to go to the hospital.

However, as his condition worsened the paramedics arrived and were en route to the hospital when Al Bashri breathed his last.

The reason on what triggered the heart attack is not yet known, but his favourite club Al Nassr FC lost the match that he went to watch to Al Ittihad FC four goals to two and was knocked out from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup tournament.

He was at the match with his 6-year-old son and even shot a selfie at the stadium.

In his honour, Al Nassr FC tweeted that the club’s income from the next match will be given to Al Bashri’s family.

Sabq also reported that 33-year-old Al Bashri was a father of three and worked as a teacher at a school in Jeddah. His funeral prayer was held in Masjid Al Haram in Makkah.
