This Indian Hospitality Company Has Arrived In Saudi In A Big Way And They’re Already Up For Booking
The Saudi hospitality industry has been a shining star in the non-oil sector. We already have the world’s biggest names operating in it, one of the latest entrants is Indian hospitality startup OYO.
The concept of OYO is simple, it leases out portions of various hotels and kinds of standardises the experience for those who stay in it. People book online on OYO’s website and they can be assured for getting the standard OYO experience.
OYO is huge internationally in emerging markets like India and China and looks to replicate that success in the Saudi market as well. According to the Financial Experience, OYO has inked deals with 50 hotels spread across seven cities of Saudi.
This will give OYO access to 3000 rooms across the country.
A statement by OYO mentioned that they will be employing 300 Saudis by the end of the year and 5,000 by next year.
And, that’s not just it as they will also launch two OYO skill institutes, one in Riyadh and the other in Jeddah.
We checked on OYO’s website for listings and yes they are available for booking already. Some rooms are prices as low as 72 SAR for a night in a city like Riyadh.
