It has been an exciting couple of months with so many firsts happening in Saudi and concerts are one of them.
It was announced a couple of weeks ago that Emirati singer, Balqees would be performing for the first time ever in Saudi and the women-only sold-out concert took place this Wednesday in Jeddah.
The concert began with the Saudi national anthem and Balqees then sang national songs of Saudi Arabia, including traditional numbers, as well as her own songs.
Renowned Greek composer and musician Yanni also performed in the Kingdom for the first time ever
“This is an extremely important time for me. It gives me great pleasure and makes me feel a great sense of responsibility. I want to provide something that’s suitable to your culture because you’ve trusted me with your eyes, ears and minds,” he stated in a press conference prior to his concert, states Arab News.
The General Entertainment Authority has stated that more than 70 events have been organized by this year to entertain people and make them happy.
