The remarks were made by the party’s spokesperson, Nupur Sharma on a televised debate a few days ago. Saudi Arabia has STRONGLY condemned these remarks and called for respect for beliefs and religions. In protest of these remarks, they have chosen to boycott all Indian products, along with other nations choosing to terminate all methods of profit to the country.

Insults towards the Islamic religion and blasphemy are both HIGHLY condemned in Saudi Arabia and are a punishable offense.
