Cristiano Ronaldo Says He’s Surprised By The Level Of Competitiveness In The Saudi Pro League

Cristiano Ronaldo is the Saudi Pro League’s blue-eyed boy, and he’s already setting records in the league—this is what he’s been doing most of his life anyway. While speaking to a group of reporters recently, Ronaldo said he was surprised by the competitiveness of the league.

Here’s exactly what AlArabiya English quoted him as saying: “I think you should look at the (Saudi Pro League) in a different way. I’m not going to say that the league is a Premier League, that would be a lie. But it’s a very competitive league that I’m positively surprised by, a very balanced league and good teams.”

He didn’t stop there, he even went on to predict it could become the fourth, fifth, or sixth most competitive league in the world in the coming years.

Apart from his matches with Al-Nassr FC, Ronaldo is preparing for Portugal’s Euro 2024 qualifiers, where he could break the record for the most capped player in men’s football – a feat he says he has had his eye on for a long time.
