Downtown Jeddah Is Getting A Major SR75 Billion Facelift
Downtown Jeddah is one of the oldest places in town and is almost the unofficial commercial heart of the city. It’s getting a major revamp now and it will be all glitzy and glam.
According to the Arab News, the project that was launched by Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman will see the PIF along with both local and foreign investors investing in this project. The first phase will be ready by 2027.

Some renditions of the Jeddah Central Project have been released and it looks unlike downtown Jeddah as it stands right now. It’s beyond recognizable with a lot of futuristic elements to it.
Lots of green spaces there.
It is expected to add SR47 billion to the country’s economy by 2030.
Coming to some of the things it will have, there’s going to be a sports stadium, an opera house, a museum and an oceanarium.

Not only that, but the entire coastline of that portion of town will be renovated, with a gorgeous beach, marina, and luxury resorts lining the shore.
Seeing the metamorphosis, we can only conclude that Jeddahwis sure are lucky.
