The Number Of Saudi Women In The Private Workforce Hit A Record-Breaking 900,000

The glass ceiling has been shattered as the number of female Saudi workers in the kingdom’s private sector soared past the impressive milestone of 900,000 in May, reported the Gulf News.

It’s a clear sign of Saudi Arabia’s unwavering commitment to empowering women and fostering their active participation in the job market.

Last year, women employees accounted for about 37% of the labour market in Saudi Arabia, showing their significant presence. While no specific breakdown was provided regarding the sectors in which these talented females are employed, their growing representation across various industries is a testament to their capabilities.

Saudi Arabia has been making remarkable strides in empowering women, ushering in transformative changes throughout the kingdom. In a groundbreaking move, two female ambassadors proudly took their oath of office before King Salman bin Abdulaziz earlier this year, breaking barriers and making history.
