The Kingdom’s Special Olympics Team Brought Home The Gold!
The Kingdom’s Special Olympics Team took part in the Detriot Unifed Cup and won a gold medal in football!

The green team went up against Romania, after achieving the winning score of three to one. Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saud posted the win on her Instagram and was also there for the opening ceremony, and tweeted about the excitement and pride she had for the Kingdom participating in the games. Muhammad al-Mutairi was the star of the game, as he scored a hat trick for the team in the final, along with scoring the first within 36 minutes.
Saudi went up against more than 89 countries and claimed victory just this Saturday

The Unified Cup is a competition that features athletes with intellectual disiabilites and those without. The Special Olympic games were established back in 1994 and have been an annual event since. Other countries including Jamaica, Korea, Morocco, Nigeria, Paraguay, Singapore and USA all participated in these challenging games.
