Avatar

There is now T-minus six hours (more or less) left until the Italian Supercup match starts in Jeddah’s Al-Jawhara stadium. The teams AC Milan and Juventus will show their skills to see which one will take home the 8th trophies after this game.

The build-up, anticipation and eagerness from Saudi’s football fans are inevitable and currently, supercharged and The General Sports Authority will even stream the ENTIRE thing live from their Twitter account.

So many things have happened, including the warm welcoming of players like Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo, talks of an Italian mini-festival within the stadium and SO much more.

If this doesn’t perfectly exemplify the love Saudi has for sports, then we don’t know what will.

Fans got to meet their favorite AC Milan players on Saturday

What a glorious glorious day!

Milan’s players took selfies and signed autographs with fans right before heading to their first training.

Some of them even wore the shemagh during a press conference

Liking the look, guys.

The very next day, Juventus arrived at Jeddah airport with a full on media team awaiting to welcome

That’s a look: Dybala, then, got his hands on the shemagh

During their conference upon arrival, Juventus’ coach complimented the Kingdom

Juventus’ coach, Massimiliano Alegre, lauded the Red Sea city of Jeddah saying, “It’s a beautiful city and the fans are wonderful.. I’m happy to play.”

Ronaldo, Kean, Dybala and others trained the next day

Outside the stadium lies a mini Italian village (oh yes!)

Complete with cultural stalls, food trucks and more.

It’s a festival and a football game, all-in-one.
