Avatar

Changes are happening at a rapid pace and jobs that were once deemed male-only are slowly opening up for females.

According to Arab News, 130 females are being interviewed by the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation for an air traffic control course.

Upon completion of the course, they will be hired as air traffic controllers.

The course is a one-year diploma that covers 13 subjects.

The air traffic control sector is expected to create many more jobs for women. The course is being held in collaboration with the Saudi Air Navigation Services (SANS).

The applicants for the current course were from Jeddah and Riyadh.

They went through admission tests and interviews based on which they will be allowed to join the program.
