Saudi Arabia Is Evacuating Its Citizens Who’ve Been Hit By Hurricane Ian

The category four storm, Hurricane Ian, could be the deadliest in Florida’s history. The state is home to a number of Saudi citizens, and the Kingdom’s embassy in the US has started evacuating its citizens.

Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saud, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United States, is personally keeping track of the evacuation process alongside Shafi Al-Otaibi, the consul general in Houston.

The Saudi Embassy has provided emergency phone numbers that may be used in case of any emergency as the hurricane moves farther north.

At the time of writing this, at least 12 people have been confirmed dead, seven of them in Charlotte County.
