Saudi’s Comic Con Came And Went In The Kingdom And The Pictures Don’t Do It Justice

Avatar

The global event, which started back in 1970, is still making its way to famous cities around the world in efforts to impress the public with the comical world.

Last year’s Comic Con in the country brought in more than 22,000 comic, manga, anime and film fanatics.

Superheroes and comic characters made their way to this year’s Comic Con event in Jeddah and the event took attendees on a fun journey in the entertainment world.

This three day family event was filled with so many options to choose from: movies, television, games, science fiction, storyboards and more.

Not to mention, superhero fanatics seemed to love the event!

A lot took their chances at dressing up as their favourite characters and showing off their iconic costumes on Twitter.

A fan of Stranger things? These two people dressed up as Dustin and Demogorgon from the hit show!

Other users tweeted awesome snaps of their costumes and props from the event.

BUT, the grandest of all things at this year’s Saudi Comic Con were the infamous celebrities who made an appearance for their fans in the kingdom.

Recognize this theme song? Wagner Maura was snapped singing the famous Narcos opening song for the Netflix show’s fans.

Others were lucky enough to see the line-up of three famous actors from award-wining TV shows – Ian Somerhalder from Vampire Diaries, Wagner Moura from Narcos and Gustaf Skarsgard from Vikings.

If you haven’t managed to catch Comic Con in Jeddah this year, then fear no more!

There’s a fan fiction convention called “Middle East Film and Comic Con,” that is coming to Dubai in April and it’s just as good.
