The good ‘ole private minibuses, usually referred to as “Khat Al-Balda”, will soon be gone. According to authorities, the buses will put a stop to the operations of these old minibuses due to being cause of environmental and noise pollution.
The buses will soon be replaced with newer ones that comply with international safety standards, according to Saudi Gazette.

With trips that cost SAR2 to SAR3, the buses have been a convenient option for Arab and Asian customers as it goes until midnight. A dependable option for many that would take them from city centers to other areas of Jeddah Riyadh.
