The Turkish Government Praises Saudi Arabia’s Humanitarian Assistance Following The Devastating Earthquake
In the face of the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria, leaving over 26,000 dead in its wake, several countries stepped up to help the two countries in relief efforts.
Saudi Arabia has been playing an important role in the aid efforts; an unprecedented air bridge was swiftly set up, providing food, medicine, essential supplies, and even rescue personnel.
In light of this, Al Arabiya reports that the Turkish government thanked Saudi Arabia for its humanitarian aid to the country.
As of Saturday, six planes loaded with 98 tonnes of humanitarian aid and thousands of blankets, foods, and medicines had been sent to Turkey and Syria via the Bab al-Hawa border crossing.

And to top it all off, at the time of writing this article, over 750,000 Saudi residents have contributed over SR275 million to the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) fundraising platform.
