It has been reported the United States has banned passengers from bringing electronic devices into the cabins of airlines from the Middle East.
The order, which was rumoured on Monday night will see airlines from eight countries – the UAE included – restrict cabin-carry on including laptops and tablets.
It’s reported telephones will be allowed, however the rest of the devices will be required to be checked in.
“At this time we have not received any notification of changes to cabin luggage restrictions on US flights. Emirates will comply with any new operational or regulatory requirements issued by the relevant authorities.”

It’s believed the restrictions will be announced today, but there has been no official confirmation.
