You Might Have To Change Your Plans If You Wanted To Stay In Makkah During Ramadan’s Last Days

If you were planning on going and staying at a hotel close to the Grand Mosque in Makkah for the final ten days of Ramadan, think again. According to Saudi Gazette, hotels in the central area are fully booked for those final ten days of the Holy Month of Ramadan. 

Industry sources confirmed that out of 162,000 hotel rooms (in central), 155,000 have been booked and paid in advance.

There are currently 947 furnished apartments and hotels in Makkah with more than 162,000 rooms to assist pilgrims and visitors. The director of reservations and marketing in one of the central areas of the hotel, Riza Shalabi, told SG that all 800+ rooms from his hotel was fully booked. With rates of each room starting between SAR 1,950- SAR 2,500 with the Iftar meal.
