<\/p>\nIn the older part of Jeddah, there is a residential area near Souq Khaima that is home to several Afghani expats, many of which have been living in the country for over decades. Photos of an ice cream served in the neighbourhood started doing rounds on social media.<\/p>\n
It caught our fancy and we visited it recently and were completely blown away by it.<\/p>\n
The parlour is actually kind of decrepit and sits in a place far away from the main road. It really is hidden. But once you make the arduous journey to the parlour called Ice Cream Afghan you\u2019ll be in for a surprise as it sells the kind of ice cream you won\u2019t find anywhere else in the city.<\/p>\n
Inside we met with the two old Afghani men who brought this age-old Afghani ice cream making tradition with them to Saudi Arabia. They’ve been running the place for almost 25 years now.<\/p>\n

On the whole, if you are an adventurous soul do add it in your Jeddah foods to try list but if you are more of the fine dining type than you are better off as far away from this place as possible.<\/p>\n
