Driving and texting, or simply being on the phone could result in an instant death. It may not be as easy to believe until you see the figures or witness someone close to you actually experiencing it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In Saudi alone, almost 7,500 people have died in 2017\u00a0as a result of texting and driving. A new campaign, according to Saudi Gazette,\u00a0<\/em>discusses the importance of understanding that single second that you check to see your messages, can change yours and everyone else’s lives.\u00a0<\/p>\n The campaign manager, Mohammed Bin\u00a0Ali Swaidan, told the local Saudi Gazette that the campaign’s message is served to let people know that checking your phone even for a second, can not just harm you but others as well. The campaign is organised alongside the Makkah emirate, Jeddah governorate and many more.<\/p>\n A total of SR21 billion is wasted annually as a result of road accidents. Saudi Arabia is ranked 23rd on the list of countries with the highest death rates in road accidents in the world.
