Sindh Makes Business Licenses Easy With One-Click Digital Approvals

Getting a business licence in Sindh just got much easier—and faster. The provincial government has launched a new digital portal, letting applicants skip paperwork and get e-permits and e-licences with just a click. No more long queues or chasing signatures. Now, business approvals are smooth and speedy for everyone, from Karachi to Sukkur.

Sindh launched digital licences and permits

Under the Click Project, the Sindh Investment Department started issuing e-permits and e-licences through a single online portal. This is part of the Sindh Advanced Business Regulation Reform. Since the launch, over 1,700 digital licences and certificates have been issued in just two and a half months, generating more than Rs5 million for the province. The first phase, completed by October 2025, brought nine departments online, including Health, Education, Food Authority, Labour, and more. In total, 32 types of business certifications and licences are now available digitally.

Officials promised less red tape and more transparency

Officials like Senior Automation Specialist Tahir Ali Khan and Project Director Behzad Amir Memon said the new system is all about cutting out the bureaucracy and making things transparent. The portal is hooked up with NADRA e-ECP, PMD, and 1Link for secure ID checks and digital payments, so you can apply for your business licence from your couch and pay online. The goal? Make Sindh the place to invest by making business approvals fast, easy, and totally digital.

More departments joined the digital party

The digital wave isn’t stopping anytime soon. By May 2026, the project will cover 19 provincial departments, fully digitalising their revenue streams. Already, departments like the Sindh Healthcare Commission, Environmental Protection Agency, and Small Industries Corporation are on board. The new certificates include everything from private school registration to food business licences, shop and factory approvals, and even environmental management plans. It’s all part of a World Bank-backed push to make government services in Sindh smarter and more investor-friendly.
