Karachi just turned up the volume on the world stage, kicking off the World Culture Festival Karachi from October 30 to December 7, 2025. The 38-day festival brings together artists from five continents for a non-stop celebration of music, dance, film, and visual arts, making Karachi a hub of creativity and culture.
The Arts Council of Pakistan (ACP) ensured Sindh’s vibrant scene shone brightly. Music, theatre, dance, and visual arts all got prime time at the festival. ACP President Ahmad Shah and Karachi Commissioner Hassan Naqvi collaborated with the Sindh government and the South district deputy commissioner to make the event happen. Shah emphasized that the festival highlights Karachi’s creative side and aims to challenge old stereotypes.

The festival also features international acts, with each continent showcasing its unique culture. Legendary singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, the festival ambassador, will close the event with a grand performance at the YMCA Lawn on December 7. Movie buffs can catch weekly screenings, including Sarmad Khoosat’s 2022 drama Kamli and Sohel Rana Boyati’s Noya Manush on November 29. The goal is to present Karachi and Pakistan with a fresh, welcoming image on the global stage.

Organizers ensured a warm welcome for guests, including airport pickups and guidance around the city. The Sindh Police implemented a detailed security plan so visitors can enjoy the festival safely. With cultural diplomacy in full swing and a packed schedule, Karachi is ready to celebrate with the world.
