The statistics reveal a massive surge in local music consumption, with Talha Anjum taking the top spot as the most-streamed Pakistani artist in the country over the last half-decade.

Since Spotify entered the Pakistani market in 2021, the platform has seen a sevenfold increase in the total plays of local artists. The number of Pakistani creators on the platform has also grown by nearly 75%, reflecting a rapidly expanding creative industry. Listeners in Pakistan are proving to be discovery-driven, with the average user streaming over 140 different artists annually.
