Recently, actress Munazzah Arif, known for her powerful roles in dramas like Kafeel, recently dished out some delightful insights into her own marriage and the evolving dynamics of modern couples. Appearing on Fuchsia Magazine’s YouTube talk show Gup Ship with Rabia Mughni, Munazzah, a happily married mother of three, shared her unique journey and observations, as reported by Sidra Ijaz.
When it came to her personal love story, Munazzah Arif revealed her husband was quite the quiet type, often communicating through sweet gestures, like a subtle hint for a glass of water when surrounded by family. She playfully mentioned he was more attuned to his parents’ wishes than hers initially, leading her to keep a bit of a distance. However, she found a wonderful connection with her friendly father-in-law! Interestingly, Munazzah shared that while she started with the formal ‘aap’ for her husband, it quickly shifted to ‘tum’ in their private space, emphasizing that the tone of voice truly makes all the difference in a relationship.

Fast forward to today, Munazzah is absolutely thrilled to see how much things have changed for modern couples, especially with her own sons! She proudly shared that men nowadays openly shower their wives with care, a stark contrast to her early days. Her sons, for instance, are total sweethearts, even making breakfast for their wives. While she admits to a tiny bit of playful fear that ‘someone might be offended’ by their open affection, she absolutely adores witnessing such loving gestures. She also humorously noted that her daughters-in-law will dive into house chores once they become mothers, thankfully with the help of their trusty house staff!
Beyond the daily dynamics, Munazzah Arif also highlighted the importance of understanding the marriage contract, the Nikah Nama. She’s making sure her own daughter will thoroughly read and comprehend hers, just as her daughters-in-law did. They all shared PDFs of the document, carefully studied it with their families, and thoughtfully settled on the Haq Mehr and other rights. These pre-nikah meetings were a brilliant idea, making everyone feel much more relaxed and prepared for the big events, ensuring a clear and happy start to their marital journeys.
