Among the myriad Sudanese youth creators across various fields who present our identity with excellence and pride, Lovin Khartoum had the pleasure of meeting a young, energetic, and courageous lady who decided to pursue her dreams and carve a path for herself in a world full of opportunities and wonders while adhering to her deeply ingrained principles in an awe-inspiring fashion!

How the journey of the media enthusiast kicked off!
Reem is a student at the University of Science and Technology (UST) majoring in media, driven by her deep passion for the field. She expressed great admiration for content creators and shared her dream of becoming one, a goal she started to pursue during her early university years. While her studies provided a solid foundation, it was her self-taught journey that truly shaped her skills, taking her learning far beyond the university curriculum.
Reem started by conducting short interviews with fellow students, exploring various topics that resonated with her community and giving voice to her audience’s thoughts and concerns. She tackled important issues and actively participated in numerous events. Her spontaneous and outgoing personality, combined with her engaging sense of humor, consistently brought smiles and joy to those she interviewed, earning her admiration from many.

Embracing her principles toward a memorable dream
After the war in Sudan, Reem relocated to Saudi Arabia with her family. Amidst the widespread confusion, anxiety, and loss felt by many Sudanese, she decided to rise above these challenges, combating the fires of grief with sparks of hope and joy. She continued her passion for interviewing people from diverse cultures at various festivals held throughout the year, enriching her experience and opening new doors to exciting challenges and opportunities.
One of the notable and commendable messages Reem aimed to convey was the struggle of a Hijabi Muslim girl in today’s content creation scene. She clearly expressed her intention to demonstrate that wearing a Hijab does not hinder or contradict her dreams and ambitions as a content creator.
“I am surprised why people think that wearing a Hijab will diminish one’s performance as a content creator or media persona. On the contrary, I found myself enjoying my favourite hobby in different countries while wearing it. It reflects my beliefs and identity, of which I am proud. I encourage all women to present themselves as they wish, equipped with courage, and we will all support each other along the way!”
