Avatar

Are you looking for somewhere to break during spring? Wanting to unwind? Ready to reset? Consider spending your Ramadan in Port Sudan, nothing is more relaxing than sitting by a campfire amongst beautiful sights and great company.

We’ve compiled a listicle of things for you to get involved in that city!

A rare scene of a goat enjoying a cold Cola in the middle of Port Sudan.

7. Swimming with dolphins

If you consider yourself to be a part of the Lovin family you are immediately someone who is spontaneous and enjoys a bit of adventure, what better experience to partake in than swimming with everyone’s favourite marine mammal?

If you’re looking for agencies to contact to experience this transformative activity make sure you try: Scuba Sudan or Seashell Sudan!

Did you know? Interacting with dolPhins often stimulates the release of endorPhins! (no pun intended)

6. Al Sigala

The central fish market of Port Sudan is located in Sigala. This information alone offers up many activities to those who are seafood lovers, or those who enjoy fishing with their fathers. You can dedicate a day from your trip to catch, cook and feast on some
fresh fish!

Al Sigala is so highly populated with fish, that you could also enjoy a deep dive in the waters and go scuba diving too!

5. Sigala Restaurant

This is not any ordinary restaurant! We find this specific establishment quite fascinating actually. Located on the beach, guests arrive at the restaurant via a boat, which has a panel of translucent glass right in the middle of it that allows you to actually visually see the bottom of the sea as you are actively making your way to your destination.

4. Sanganeb National Park

A must-visit when visiting Port Sudan! The coral reefs here are described to be the best in the world! Sanganeb consists of two halves, one side is dedicated to coral reefs whereas the other is known as Dungonab Bay and Mukkawar island.

Fun fact: Sanganeb is the first National Park to be recognised in Sudan, founded in 1990. A highly photographed landmark is the lighthouse built by The British between 1958-1964, consisting of 286 steps and 50M in height.

3. Relax on the beach

Port Sudan is known for its beautiful beaches with crystal clear waters and white sand. You can spend a relaxing day, sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying the local cuisine. Some of the popular beaches in Port Sudan include Red Sea Beach, Friendship Beach, and Shaab Rumi Beach.

2. Visit the Local Market

The local market in Port Sudan is a great place to experience the local culture and pick up souvenirs to take home. Obviously!

Last but certainly not least…
