So, basically here’s the tea:

Kuwait-based Food/Beauty youtuber “Foodie Beauty” recently went on a rant online, claiming that Kuwait’s streets are full of “dead rodents everywhere” and not livable. This happens everyday on YouTube, right? Wrong, this time, it made it to reddit.

One redditer who was still unsure about going to Kuwait saw Beauty’s post and took it to reddit, asking one question that awakened a battle in the comments. They asked ‘’ Is Kuwait really like this?”

Very soon after, Kuwaitis flooded the comments section with claims that her words meant nothing, that it was all made up for clout.

This is not the end of it, of course. In typical reddit nature, the tea only gets hotter from here! Turns out miss Foodie Beauty is well known in the r/Kuwait sub-reddit. Some even weren’t surprised to see her there, exclaiming “Oh, not this lady again” and other similar statements.
Now to the question on everyone’s minds, who is Foodie Beauty? According to the reddit detectives (aka CSI), she is an expat wife living in Kuwait, who moved there shortly after getting married to a Kuwaiti-Syrian man. There were other statements, that due to some legal biases, no one is getting into, seriously.

While many Kuwaitis jumped to their nation’s defense, some made some -more logical- statements, claiming that while Kuwait is overall clean as a country, like any other one, some areas are… less maintained.
