Avatar

With infections in Oman still rising, the country has taken the decision to enter a two-week lockdown period.

Oman announced that travel between all provinces will be banned from July 25 until August 8 and a curfew from 7pm to 6am has also been imposed between those dates, which includes the Eid holiday.

On Sunday, Oman’s Ministry of Health announced 1,157 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the Sultanate to 66,661.

318 deaths have been recorded, along with over 44,000 recoveries to date.

While Dubai has opened up to visitors, the DHA is reminding all citizens and returning residents to treat wearing a face mask at all times as the NEW normal
