The aftermath left the nation scarred, with buildings reduced to rubble and an economy in shambles. Photographs by Steve McCurry captured these grim scenes, showcasing the resilience of Kuwaitis amid the chaos.

Fast forward to today, and Kuwait has undergone an incredible transformation. The once war-torn streets are now bustling with modern skyscrapers, vibrant cultural hubs, and thriving businesses. The spirit of resilience and unity that carried Kuwait through its darkest times continues to fuel its progress and prosperity.
