Kuwait Amir Celebrated Women as Nation Builders

Women Made History

Back in 2009, kuwaiti women marked a significant milestone in the country’s democratic journey. Four women were elected to the national assembly for the first time, these women were dr. Massouma al-mubarak, dr. Aseel al-awadhi, dr. Rola dashti, and dr. Salwa al-jassar, selected from among 17 female candidates who contested the elections. Today, kuwait’s cabinet includes three female ministers.
