A Foreign Tourist Was Spotted Singing in Corniche

If you thought a stroll down Muttrah Corniche was just about sea views and coffee, think again! On a recent evening, passersby got a surprise musical treat from a foreign tourist who turned the sidewalk into his own stage.

Armed with a recorder-like instrument, a long beard, and a pair of flip-flops, this mystery man set up shop right next to his trusty red bicycle. He wasn’t just there for the tunes—two cardboard signs told his story. One, in English, read: ‘MONEY completely STOLEN PLEASE help with a small Amount for Food and Flight’. The other, in Arabic, asked for the same kind of help. With white cars parked behind him and the Corniche’s famous streetlights twinkling, he played on, hoping for a little kindness from the crowd.

Street performances like this aren’t exactly a daily sight in Oman, especially in Muscat. Locals and tourists alike paused to watch, some snapping photos, others just soaking in the unexpected show.
