Al Dhahirah Surpassed 111 Kilometers in Road Development

Al Dhahirah Municipality has been busy! They are currently rolling out an impressive lineup of internal road projects across their wilayats. Get ready for smoother commutes and a more beautiful environment thanks to over one hundred eleven kilometers of new paving.

Ambitious Plans Took Shape

Engineer Salem bin Mohammed Al Sarkhi, Director of the Projects Department at Al Dhahirah Municipality, shared the exciting news. He revealed that sixty kilometers of new roads were specifically planned for the Wilayat of Ibri, split into two packages, with a budget of four million Omani Rials. Work is still actively progressing on various fronts, showing the municipality’s dedication to improving infrastructure.

Over 111kms of road projects ongoing in Al Dhahirah

The internal road paving project in the Wilayat of Ibri has already hit about fifteen percent completion across its first and second packages. Meanwhile, the Wilayats of Yanqul and Dhank saw even faster progress, reaching thirty percent completion. Specifically, twenty-five kilometers were paved in Yanqul at a cost of 2.2 million Omani Rials, and twenty-six kilometers were completed in Dhank for 1.6 million Omani Rials.

Community Connections Strengthened

These new roads are more than just paved surfaces; they are designed to greatly improve traffic flow between villages and residential areas, making daily commutes much easier for everyone. They also include crucial features like protection during heavy rainfall and flooding, alongside clear guidance signs to keep travelers safe. Moreover, these projects are transforming the landscape, ditching dusty dirt roads for clean, aesthetic pathways.

Looking ahead, Al Dhahirah Municipality is not slowing down. They are continuously studying and proposing fresh projects to pave and rehabilitate internal roads, aligning with their overarching plan.
