Free Parking In Dubai On Sunday For The Hijri New Year Holiday! YAY!

‘Tis the newssss we’ve all been waiting for! FREEE PARKING on Sunday, August 23 across most public spaces in Dubai on the occasion of the Hijri New Year holiday.

According to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), all paid zones, except for multi-level terminals, will be free to use on Sunday, August 23.

Please note that all parking meters will be reactivated on Monday, August 24. So basically you only have free parking for a day on Sunday. Thas it.

The RTA further confirmed that its Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on Sunday

There will be some changes in the timings for public transport services during the public holiday as well

During the holiday, Sunday, August 23, the Red Line of Dubai Metro will operate from 05:00 am to 00:00 (midnight), the Green Line of Dubai Metro will operate from 05:30 am to 00:00 (midnight), and the Dubai Tram will operate from 06:00 am to 01:00 am (of the following day).

The Metro Link Bus Service at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail, and Etisalat will be in service from 05:00 am to 00:10 am (past midnight). (Note: The timing of all Metro Link service is synchronised with the metro timetables.

Residents are being reminded to commute safely and to continue to follow the precautionary measures of personal hygiene to maintain their health and safety when out in public
