The Royal Oman Police (ROP) kicked off the Inmate Product Exhibition at Oman Avenues Mall in Muscat on Sunday, December 22, 2025, and it’s all about second chances and serious creativity. Running until December 28, this event is shining a spotlight on the impressive skills of inmates, giving them a platform to show off what they’ve learned and made during their time in rehabilitation and vocational training.
Brigadier General Salim bin Yahya Al Hinai, Director General of Prisons, officially opened the exhibition, joined by a crowd of officials and curious visitors. The vibe was upbeat as everyone checked out the unique range of products, from eye-catching handicrafts and stylish furniture to colorful textiles and creative artworks—all made by inmates from correctional institutions across Oman.
The ROP is on a mission to help inmates build better futures, and this exhibition is a big part of that. By giving inmates a chance to develop new skills and share their talents with the public, the event helps break down barriers and supports their reintegration into society. It’s not just about products—it’s about people, progress, and positive change.
So if you’re in Muscat this week, swing by Oman Avenues Mall before December 28 to see the creativity and hard work on display. Who knows, you might just find your next favorite piece of art or furniture—while supporting a great cause!
