Oman took center stage at Algiers international expo

Oman recently made a spectacular splash as the guest of honor at the 56th Algiers International Fair, wowing visitors with its vibrant culture and diverse economy. The Sultanate’s pavilion, a meticulously designed Omani village, beautifully showcased the nation’s rich heritage and ambitious global aspirations.

Oman Unveiled Its Cultural Riches

Mahmoud bin Suleiman Al-Yazeedi, Head of Export Promotion, explained that Oman’s special guest status led to this amazing exhibit. The nearly nine hundred square meter pavilion was a real treat, designed like an authentic Omani village, complete with landmarks linked to Nizwa and the beloved halwa making tradition. Visitors were totally immersed in the richness of Omani civilization.

Sixty Companies Showcased Innovations

Sixty Omani companies stepped up to the plate, representing a wide array of sectors from pharmaceuticals and transportation to real estate and delicious food products. This strong presence highlighted Oman’s dedication to expanding its global footprint, guided by the ‘Oman Exports’ team who helped these businesses navigate international markets.

Traditional Troupe Enchanted Audiences

Adding an extra layer of charm, a traditional Omani folklore troupe accompanied the exhibition, delighting crowds with national songs. Their performances were a beautiful demonstration of Oman’s deep artistic and cultural heritage, making the pavilion an even more memorable experience for everyone.
