SalamAir, Oman’s budget-friendly airline, has kicked off ticket sales for its fresh non-stop flights between Muscat and Vienna. This marks the very first direct air link connecting Oman and Austria, making travel between the two spots a breeze.

The new service is set to take off on June 24, 2026, running three times a week with SalamAir’s efficient Airbus A321 planes. These jets are known for their fuel-saving features and comfy capacity, perfect for longer trips. This route is a big step in SalamAir’s international journey, offering travelers a smooth and affordable way to fly between Oman and Central Europe.
Steven Allen, SalamAir’s Chief Commercial Officer, shared that Vienna was chosen as part of their smart plan to expand in Europe. Austria’s travel scene is booming, both for visitors coming in and locals heading out. With fares starting at just OMR 69, this route opens a cool new travel path, backed by easy connections through Muscat to SalamAir’s wider network.

Julian Jäger, Joint CEO and COO of Vienna Airport, called the direct flights to Muscat a major win. He highlighted Oman’s unique mix of culture, nature, and growth potential as a fresh destination for Austrian travelers. This new non-stop connection not only boosts Vienna’s global appeal but also positions it as a gateway to exciting emerging markets.
