South A’Sharqiyah’s Major Road Expansion Was Unveiled

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, working with the Royal Oman Police, recently opened a fantastic new section of the Sultan Turki bin Said dual carriageway. This 9-kilometer stretch, part of Phase Two, Part Two, now seamlessly connects the Wilayat of Al-Kamil W’al-Wafi to the Wilayat of Sur, making journeys in South A’Sharqiyah much more efficient.

The New Lanes Were Unveiled

This impressive new road section features three spacious lanes in each direction, a design choice specifically made to improve traffic flow and ease congestion. Drivers can now look forward to a smoother and quicker commute thanks to this thoughtful expansion.

Safety Enhancements Were Added

Prioritizing the well-being of all road users, the project incorporated a full suite of traffic safety measures. This included strong iron barriers, clear and visible traffic signs, essential roadside support structures, and safe tunnel crossings, all designed for maximum protection.

Muneer Ahmed Al Alawi, Director of the Roads Department in South A’Sharqiyah Governorate, provided insights into the project’s success. He emphasized that every safety feature was carefully considered and implemented to ensure a secure and reliable experience for everyone on the road.
