In a post shared on X, the Minister said that both U.S. Vice President JD Vance and the U.S. President expressed a strong preference to avoid war, instead urging an immediate extension of the ceasefire and continued negotiations between involved parties.<\/p>\n
He noted that while negotiations may require difficult concessions from all sides, these compromises are far less costly than the consequences of armed conflict, reinforcing the importance of diplomacy over escalation.<\/p>\n
The statement comes in the context of Pakistan-mediated peace talks between Iran and the United States, which took place over the weekend following a recently agreed two-week ceasefire. However, reports indicate that these discussions concluded after only 21 hours.<\/p>\n
