Gerard Butler’s new action movie: ‘Kandahar’ premiered in cinemas last night, and Saudi fans rushed for a perfect seat. Visitors didn’t’ only show up to see Gerard in action, but also because of their excitement to check out which scenes were filmed in the Kingdom.
Production began back in 2021 and residents immediately spotted the star in AlUla and Jeddah

Residents swarmed to the cinemas to watch the story of undercover CIA operative Tom Harris’s (Gerard Butler) adventures of escaping hostile territory in Afghanistan. AlUla was used to depict the rural areas of Afghanistan, and Jeddah was used for scenes in Tehran and Herat, Afghanistan.
