This Saudi Engineer’s Innovations Made Their Way To Neom

The Neom City Project includes many engineering innovations across a range of fields, including energy, transportation, and construction. These innovations have the potential to transform the way we live, work, and travel, and could serve as a model for other smart cities around the world.

The Saudi engineer, Amjad Alamri is a part of the Saudi Women Engineers Association in Saudi, which helps in connecting all women engineers around the kingdom. She graduated back in 2019 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, starting off her path in the engineering world with many successful programs and internships along the way, leading her to work in NEOM since 2020.

Talk About Women Empowerment!

A few days ago, Amjad participated in an educational event held by Prince Sultan University in celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science,  where she talked about her experience as a Senior Specialist in Autonomous Construction Equibment & Robotics, Design and Construction in NEOM

Her achievements don’t just stop there, she’s also the country’s first karting champion, and has won several motorsports championships in the region.

Her love for karting started back in college, where she and her teammates would design many things including karting vehicles, making her passionate about participating in championships as well.

The kingdom has been consistently supporting women in all fields, enabling them to expand their horizons and be a source of inspirations to all those following them, and Amjad is just one example of many successful Saudi women ♥️
