Najran’s Airport Receives It’s First Passenger Flight In Four Years And It Gets A Very Unique Welcome
The city of Najran is located just a few kilometres away from the Yemen border. Its airport was closed four years ago for passengers following security threats.
But now that the threats have been subsided the airport is back open and it has just received its first flight in four years.
The Saudi Airlines flight took from Jeddah’s King Abdulaziz International airport and arrived in Najran to a unique welcome.
Water cannons were installed by the runway and when opened they formed the two swords formation that is seen on the kingdom’s emblem.
