Crown Prince Salman has been at the forefront of pushing drastic reforms since June and one of the prime advocate for lifting the ban on woman driving this month. He told investors gathered in Riyadh that cultural modernisation will go hand-in-hand with economic diversification and political reforms

This announcement follows a crucial statement by King Salman who aims to form a council of Islamic Scholars to counter violent interpretations of Quran and Hadith.
