NEOM airport just welcomed its first Saudi Arabian Airlines flight this weekend.

On Thursday, 130 passengers on board, landed in NEOM’S airport for this first time ever

NEOM is a $500 billion megacity currently being built in Northwestern Saudi Arbia and is a key part of the country’s strategic vision to diversify its economy.

All the passengers are currently working in building NEOM and travelled on two Airbus A320 planes to familiarize themselves with the area as they are working on the project.

NEOM CEO Nadhmi Al-Nasr said that they wanted our employees to experience the project which they have been working on to make a success since its inception last year.
