Since May 27, what was advertised as a humanitarian effort in Gaza has turned into a calculated system of violence. Centers operated by the so-called Gaza Humanitarian Foundation—run by American mercenaries and backed by the US and Israel—have become death traps for starving Palestinians.
Over the past week alone, at least 75 people have been killed and more than 400 injured while attempting to receive food aid, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health. These killings are not accidents. On multiple occasions, Israeli forces have opened fire on desperate civilians gathered at these distribution points, often located in exposed, high-risk areas under direct Israeli control.

Yesterday’s massacre in Rafah—dubbed the Rafah Aid Massacre or the “Witkoff Massacre” by Palestinians, referencing Trump’s former Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff—saw the brutal killing of at least 31 people who had been lured with the promise of food. These individuals, already weakened by months of starvation, were met not with aid, but with bullets.
The aftermath has overwhelmed Gaza’s collapsing medical system. At Nasser Hospital, staff from Doctors Without Borders reported that with blood banks nearly empty, medical staff were forced to donate blood themselves to save the injured.

In a statement released via Telegram, Gaza’s Government Media Office described the events as a “horrific and deliberate crime.” The office accused Israeli forces of using starvation as a weapon—baiting desperate civilians with food aid, only to gun them down in cold blood. It stated:
“These so-called aid centres are placed in exposed, high-risk areas controlled by the occupation forces. They have become death traps. Starving civilians are lured in by hunger and siege, then coldly targeted and shot.”
The office further revealed that since May 27, at least 102 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 500 wounded at these so-called aid distribution sites. Officials in Gaza say the shootings are not random but part of a broader plan to humiliate, control, and kill civilians under siege.

Gaza’s authorities are calling on the United Nations, the Security Council, and human rights organizations to urgently intervene and force open border crossings for humanitarian aid—without Israeli oversight or conditions. Their message is direct:
Without international action, these US-Israeli-backed aid sites will continue to operate as killing zones.
