A Whirlwind Was Spotted In North RAK This Afternoon

A whirlwind made a dramatic entrance in North RAK this afternoon, spinning down from the mountains and putting on quite the show for anyone lucky enough to catch it. The skies were moody, the winds were wild, and the weather was anything but ordinary in Ras Al Khaimah!

Whirlwind danced down the mountain

The action kicked off with a swirling funnel cloud dropping from the dark, stormy skies right above the mountains. Filmed from inside a car, the scene showed wet roads (hello, recent rain!), a brave cyclist pedaling through, and palm trees bending to the will of the wind. The excitement was real as the whirlwind made its way down, with onlookers shouting, ‘Look at the whirlwind, folks!’

Waterspout twirled over the sea

Next up, the video switched to a stunning view of a waterspout forming over the water. This thin, twisting column stretched from the dark clouds above all the way down to the sea, spinning like it was auditioning for a weather-themed dance show. A car was parked on the shore, birds soared in the distance, and the whole scene looked straight out of a movie.

Aftermath left dust and drama

Finally, the whirlwind’s wild ride left its mark. Strong winds whipped up dust and debris along the shoreline, with water and distant buildings barely visible through the haze. The skies stayed gloomy, making it clear that North RAK’s weather was not messing around today. Stay safe out there, folks!
