Members of the hiking community shared photos showing plastic bottles, cans, bags, and other litter scattered in an area usually known for its peaceful views and natural beauty.
Hikers say the problem has become more noticeable lately as more people head outdoors to enjoy Ras Al Khaimah’s mountains and wadis. While it takes away from the experience, the bigger concern is protecting the environment. Hikers hope these spots stay clean, safe and enjoyable for everyone now and in the future!

Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead by bringing trash bags with them and ensuring all waste is taken back home after their hike or camping trip. This includes food packaging, bottles, cans, and any other items brought into the area.
