Missing Baby Gazelle Sparks Community Search In RAK!

A baby gazelle has gone missing in Al Riffa, Ras Al Khaimah, and her owner has reached out to the local community for assistance in locating her. The disappearance has prompted concern, particularly given the young age of the gazelle and her reliance on human care.

According to the owner, the incident took place around 12:15 AM on January 10, near Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Mosque, when the baby gazelle was frightened after two individuals riding a motorcycle startled her, causing her to run off from the area. The sudden noise and movement reportedly caused the animal to panic and flee into the surrounding neighbourhood.

The owner believes the young gazelle may be disoriented and could still be nearby, possibly hiding or wandering as she attempts to find her way back. Residents in Al Riffa and nearby areas are being urged to remain alert, as the gazelle may be unfamiliar with the environment and vulnerable to harm.

Community members are encouraged to report any sightings or relevant information, no matter how small. Even brief observations, such as the direction she was last seen heading, could prove helpful in the search efforts.

Anyone with information regarding the baby gazelle’s whereabouts is asked to contact 055 568 5713. The owner hopes that community cooperation will help ensure the young animal’s safe return and highlights the importance of awareness and care when wildlife enters residential areas.
