A recent group of explorers tackled the stunning trails of Wadi Naqab and Wadi Kub, discovering hidden gems and proving why RAK is a true natural wonderland, culminating their journey at the picturesque Sanad Village.

The epic hike kicked off at the intriguing Wadi Naqab cave, setting the perfect adventurous tone. Before diving deep into the wadi, the group was treated to some heartwarming local hospitality, enjoying traditional Arabic coffee and sweet dates – talk about a perfect start! Soon after, it was time to descend, making their way through the rugged terrain towards the famed Wadi Kub, soaking in every breathtaking view along the path.
After a thrilling journey, the hikers reached the endpoint of Wadi Kub. But the adventure wasn’t over yet! Gazing upwards, they spotted the challenging stairs leading 800 meters up to Sanad Village. Despite already being three and a half hours into their trek, the determined group decided to conquer the ascent, pushing through a forty-five-minute climb to reach the village. What an incredible feat after such a long and rewarding hike!
The climb to Sanad Village was absolutely worth every step, revealing views that were nothing short of spectacular. The group scaled a magnificent mountain, reaching its summit and witnessing the sheer beauty of Ras Al Khaimah from above. It was a powerful reminder to always pack enough water – about two liters is recommended – to stay hydrated on such demanding but incredibly rewarding expeditions. Finally, after an unforgettable journey through some of RAK’s most beautiful natural spots, the adventurers made their triumphant return, already dreaming of their next escapade!
