Beginning today, free early breast cancer screening at mobile clinics for all UAE women citizens and residents will be available, thanks to the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
The campaign aims to increase the overall survival rate of people with the disease and will kick off at Dubai’s Festival City today and tomorrow.
The next stop will be at Mall of the Emirates this weekend.
From then on it will head to Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah ending on June 15.
Mobile clinics equipped with mammography technology will be stationed at various shopping centres in the Northern Emirates where a dedicated platform will also be set-up to receive applications and reach out to a larger number of women.
The campaign falls under the Year of Giving mandate announced by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to boost the agenda of UAE Vision 2021.
