Imagine cruising along Jebel Jais Road in Lahsa, when suddenly, a massive, multi-stream waterfall appears, dramatically cascading down a grey, rocky mountain! The water, a rich muddy brown, hinted at the sheer volume of runoff, creating a visible muddy riverbed below.

Further along the same scenic route, more muddy brown water was spotted, rushing down a steep, rocky embankment right beside the paved road. It was a fast-moving stream, highlighting the textured geological layers and some clever retaining structures, all captured from the cozy comfort of a vehicle, with even an umbrella making a cameo at the top of the frame!

A massive waterfall carves through Wadi Sha’am’s rocky cliffs

Then, prepare for a breathtaking aerial treat! Over in Wadi Sha’am, a truly stunning and powerful waterfall plunged dramatically down a rugged, dark rock face. This wasn’t just any waterfall; it was a wide, milky brown spectacle, rushing over multiple ledges and carving its own path through the ancient, dark stone. Amidst all that power, you could still spot sparse green vegetation bravely clinging to the rocks, adding a touch of vibrant life to the dramatic scene.

Wadi Haqeel turns into a multi-waterfall scene after heavy rain

The grand finale took us to Wadi Haqeel, also along the famous Jebel Jais Road, where the mountains put on an incredible show! Here, not just one, but multiple waterfalls were seen gracefully cascading down a vast, grey mountain face. Distinct streams of muddy brown water flow down different sections, all converging as they made their descent. The sheer volume of water was a powerful testament to the intensity of the recent heavy rains, turning the rugged landscape into a dynamic masterpiece. What an unforgettable display of nature’s power and beauty!
