All You Need To Know About The New UAE Visa Schemes That Are Officially In Effect

On Monday, October 3 the United Arab Emirates officially implemented 5 new UAE visa schemes. Ranging from new tourist visas to job seeking and residency visas – here’s all you need to know from requirements to costs!

The UAE initially announced the new UAE visa schemes in April 2022

Additionally, the government announced in September that the schemes will be implemented on October 3.

Starting with the Golden Visa, here’s the layout of it all

The Golden Visa will approximately cost AED2,800 to AED3,800 for those applying within the UAE. Moreover, the cost for those applying for the Golden Visa outside of the UAE is around AED3,800 to AED4,800.

Skilled Professionals and Investors are eligible for this visa with some requirements. Skilled professionals must have a minimum salary of AED30,000.

While Investors must have property worth at least AED 2 million even with a loan from specific local banks. Moreover, off-plan properties are also allowed from approved local real estate companies.

Plus the main benefit is that if you stay outside of the UAE for over 6 months with the Golden Visa, it won’t be affected!

The UAE launched a new 5 year multi-entry tourist visa for travellers coming into the country

Upon applying, the cost of the 5 year multi-entry tourist visa is AED650. Moreover, applicants must prove they have a bank balance of $4,000 or its equivalent.

The benefits of this new tourist visa is that tourists can stay in the UAE for up to 90 continuous days. Moreover, they can extend their stay for another 90 days. However, the limit of their stay is 180 days in 1 year.

For those planning on visiting the UAE for business opportunities, here’s all you need to know about the 2 new exploration visas

First off, the Business Single Entry Visa has 3 validity options. These options are as follows 60 days, 90 days, and 120 days.

The costs for each are AED1,495 for the 60 day visa, AED1,655 for 90 days, and finally AED1,815 for 120 days.

Additionally, this visa does not require the applicant to have a sponsor or host. The benefits of this visa encourages investors and entrepreneurs to explore opportunities in the UAE.

The second visa is the Job Exploration Visa, its cost is similar to the Business Single Entry Visa. As the costs are AED1,495 for the 60 day visa, AED1,655 for 90 days, and finally AED1,815 for 120 days.

As the requirements for the Job Exploration Visa are 1st, 2nd, or 3rd skill level as per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. 

Moreover, fresh graduates from the top 500 universities can apply. They should have earned at least a bachelors or its equivalent

Lastly, here’s all the information you need to know about the Green Visa

The Green visa costs AED2,280. Freelancer applicants need a permit from the MoHRE and a proof of income of AED360,000 annually over the last 2 years. Or proof of finances that can cover them throughout their stay.

Applications must also have a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd skill level as per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation with a minimum salart of AED15,000.
