Prayers For Rain Will Be Held At Mosques Across The UAE

Avatar

Rain in the UAE is the NEEEEED of the hour right now.

And in all honesty what is winter without a little *natural* rain and winds and cloudy skies?! Ya’feel?

So in that sense, the UAE has announced (as per directives by the President, HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan) that mosques across the country will host special rain prayers called Salaat Al Istisqaa on Friday, December 18.

These prayers will be held 10 mins before the normal Friday prayer

During the rain prayers – that’ll be held 10 mins before the normal Friday prayer – residents will be praying for “rain, mercy and abundance upon the country and its people”.

UAE authorities are reminding all residents that wearing a mask at ALL public areas is still very much mandatory!

Those who fail to comply with the country’s strict COVID-19 regulations will be subject to face a penalty of AED3,000.
